Instructions for emailing information and photos of your lost or found pet
Please write the ad as you would like it to appear on the website so I can just copy and paste it. (saves me lots of time!)
Also, please only send small sized photos if possible. Otherwise I have to re-size them on my computer before uploading them to the site and that takes extra time. I work full time and do this as a
volunteer service so any time saved while posting lost and found pets is greatly appreciated. :0)
Make sure to provide details of when (date last seen) and where (street or nearest intersection
but please do NOT provide your exact address for safety reasons) you have lost or found a pet, a physical description of that pet (colour and/or breed, length of
hair- short, medium or long, male or female etc..) the pet's name if you've lost it and your contact information so people
can get in touch with you if they need to. Including your phone number is very important because I have discovered that at least 70% of the emails belonging to people on this site are no
longer valid and are not working. But phone numbers generally stay the same unless you are moving. If you do move, please update your phone number with Safe and Sound.
*If you are offering a reward, please make a note of it.
Submitting PHOTOS:

Please send a photo if possible. It really helps people to remember what a pet looks like rather than trying to remember a written description.
If you are sending a photo of a pet, please send it in jpeg or gif format if possible (if you have to send it in another format, that's okay but jpeg and
gif are preferred). Also, if your pet is the smallest part of the photo, please crop your photo so your pet is very visible for viewers.
Please don't send photos that are huge in size (example 1.3mb) It just takes up alot of storage space on the website so I have to re-save large photos to make them smaller
and it takes more time. But if that's all you have, send it along and I'll re-size it.
If you find your lost pet, PLEASE send along a quick email to notify me so I can remove your lost pet's posting to make room on
the site for the next pet that needs help. Thanks!
